Who we are
In the spring of 2014, my wife and I built our first raised garden bed in our backyard. It quickly paid off with a small harvest of our favorite veggies. The following year we planted two cherry trees and some blueberry bushes. Two seasons later, we harvested our first crop of fruit.
We. Were. Hooked.
Suddenly, our land wasn’t just producing weed seeds and grass clippings; it was producing something valuable. We decided to kick it up a notch. In the spring of 2022, we began building a food forest, a diverse collection of perennial fruits and veggies that produces an abundance of healthy food and serene beauty year-round.
Building in stages over several seasons, we turned a dry, dusty corner of our lawn into a thriving ecosystem; our very own micro-Eden. Apples, apricots, asparagus, blackberries, figs, grapes, peaches, pears, plums, pomegranates, raspberries, strawberries, herbs, flowers… the list goes on. Each year, we’re rewarded with bigger harvests and greater security from a more beautiful and abundant landscape!
To us, this feels like the good life, and we want to share it with you. That’s why we started Neighborhood Foodscapes, to make the resources required to meet basic human needs more accessible and affordable for all.
Edible landscaping and eco-friendly land management are the first steps toward achieving our goal of generating abundance within our community. If good food, clear water, clean air, and more time to enjoy it all sound like the good life to you, give us a call or request your quote today!
